Adjusting to grocery shopping in a new country comes with its challenges, especially when starting from scratch! Since moving to El Salvador three weeks ago, we’ve been stocking our pantry on a budget while figuring out the best places to shop. For now, we’re buying essentials at the most convenient (but pricier) grocery store near our complex, but once we settle into our new home, we’ll have access to more affordable options. Our goal? Finding Our Rental Home in Bosques de Lourdes, El Salvador

After a couple of weeks of searching, we finally found a rental home in Bosques de Lourdes, El Salvador! This gated community in Colón, La Libertad, offers the security, space, and comfort we need as we transition into our new life. With a six-month lease and an affordable monthly cost, we’re excited to settle in and start making this house our home.
