The Spice Rack

It might not be glamorous, but after living in a half-finished kitchen for over a year, getting a handmade spice rack felt like a huge win—especially when it’s built from reclaimed wood from our own ceiling! For Mother’s Day, my husband made it happen, and I gave new life to vintage canning jars with kraft brown labels inspired by a Pinterest find. It’s a small step toward a more functional kitchen, but after illness, quarantine, and long work hours, this little project sparked big motivation. Next up: pipe shelves! Stay tuned, things are finally moving again in the kitchen!

Cookina Review and Cooking with the AGA

After 7 long months without my beloved AGA cooker, she’s finally back in action—and I couldn’t be happier! While the kitchen reno continues, it’s such a joy to cook on her again. We’ve been testing out Cookina’s Parchminum and oven mats (similar to Bake-o-Glide), and they’re working great so far. I even made pizzas with the oven mat—though I’m a bit nervous about leaving it in a 400°F oven that never turns off! Check out the video and links if you’re curious (affiliate link included—thank you for the support!).
