Porter Cable Quik Jig

Porter Cable Pocket Hole Quik Jig Review

So we have been using the Porter Cable Pocket Hole Jig for a bit over a year now. We used it first to make a crate to cover my AGA while we did renovations and now to build all of the kitchen cabinets. Here are some of the videos I made showing its capabilities, from the unboxing to the latest cabinet.

I think the jig works great and I love that it can rotate as well as collect saw dust. I like the onboard storage of the driver and drill bits but wish the drill bit sat fastened to the body of the jig like the driver bits. I just have to remember when I pick it up that the bit is on the side and not to tip the jig or it will fall out.

For the price point, I spent $268 on Amazon, I feel that you get more out of it than the comparable Kreg jig at that price point. I like that it auto selects your drill depth just by clamping the wood in place and there are no Kreg jigs that do that.

I do use the Kreg right angle clamp and the Porter Cable Quik Jig came with a face frame clamp so that was nice that it was included already so there was no extra cost for that.

So overall for the price point, included items and performance, we give the Porter Cable Quik Jig a 2 thumbs up for our review!
