Planting still to come

So we decided to take a last minute and surprise trip to Nova Scotia to visit my parents.  They were pretty surprised!!! We left with many plants still to be put in the ground. Lets hope they survive our trip away and lets hope they thrive once planted.

I got in all my squash, pumpkins and watermelons in.  I still have to do my peppers and decide whether or not to put my herbs in pots on the deck or in the garden.

I so much want to bring back a slew of wild lupins from home to put in the front of the motel but we are pretty limited with space in the van, maybe just a few plants.  We’ll have to see.

We spent the day driving around this fine country, in Nova Scotia.  It is just so beautiful here.  The waterways and coastlines are spectacular.  I would love to bring some of that back to Smiths Falls.  How can I bottle up the salty air and the Atlantic Ocean to keep it with me always?  I guess we could start with the lupins.

I got a lot more accomplished with my centre garden.  I have it rounded out now and mulched.  I want to build a stone wall around the centre garden and a walkway and perhaps the walkway could extend to the picnic table and back to the driveway.

Lots to do, lots to do…….
